Record breaking Express Entry draw happened on Saturday February 13th! This date will leave a mark in Canadian Immigration history as 27, 332 candidates from Express Entry pool under Canadian Experience Class received an invitation to apply for permanent residence. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System scored candidates have 75 points, which is the lowest in Express Entry draws history.
The draw shows that Canada is committed to achieve their ambitious Immigration plans and Express Entry will play a big role in it.
The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Marco Mendicino, wrote on Twitter on Saturday
“ Immigration is essential to Canada’s economy. To help more skilled workers stay in Canada & to acknowledge their contributions – many on the front lines – 27,300+ individuals w/ CDN work experience have just received an invite to apply for permanent residence”
To be eligible for Canadian Experience Class you must:
- have 12 months of full time skilled work experience in Canada within last 3 years (or an equivalent of part-time)
- the experience must be obtained with a valid temporary resident status
- the occupation must be classified under National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0,A or B
- meet the required language levels ( CLB 7 for NOC 0,A and CLB 5 for NOC B)
