The arena was chosen as one of two hubs for 2020’s Stanley Cup playoffs, hosting both Western Conference playoff games and finals matches up against eastern conference opponents.
The Edmonton Oilers are one of the most successful teams in hockey, and their home rink – Rogers Place- has been called “the house that Wayne built.” It is part of the so called Ice District that was branded as one of America’s fastest growing arena districts.
